BRIAN LUKASAVITZ, J.D.
MUSIC BUSINESS 101 INSTRUCTOR
Brian is a musician, assistant professor, on-air radio-personality, concert and event promoter, and a licensed media and entertainment attorney in Minnesota. Brian earned a B.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Minnesota, and a J.D. for the University of St. Thomas School of Law. His professional career began as an audio and lighting engineer/designer, followed by over ten years of concert/festival/event coordination and promotion. After completing law school, he owned a small entertainment and media law firm, working with musicians and other entities in the areas of copyright, trademark, and setting up labels, publishing companies, and negotiating and drafting contracts. In 2017, he closed down his law firm to pursue teaching full-time in the areas of Music Business, and Entertainment, Media, and Business Law.
